Jeannette Louise Nitz

Jeannette Louise Nitz, 92, passed away quietly December 7, 2009.
Born in Utica, Ohio, she moved to Akron during the war where she worked for Goodyear as a "Rosie the Riveter" building Corsairs. In her later years, she enjoyed oil and watercolor painting and was a member of the North Hill Garden Club.
Preceded in death by her husband, Avold; daughter, Marilyn; brother, John Arrington and sister, Irene Dugan; she is survived by her son, Erich Ruth Nitz; grandsons, Brian Nitz and Jason Marisa Nitz.
Services will be held 1 p.m. THURSDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 7 p.m. WEDNESDAY. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 190 S. Maple St., Akron 44302-1603.
