Jerrie Lee Maher, 76, passed away July 29, 2011.
Born July 8, 1935 to the late Evelyn and Emmitt Junkins, Jerrie was a life resident of Akron, Ohio, where she graduated from Buchtel High School in 1958. Jerrie was a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at the University of Akron, graduating in 1957.
Jerrie's passion in life was helping others which she did so well as the director of Weaver Workshop in Tallmadge, retiring after 30 years of service.
She is survived by son, Michael; daughter, Juli; aunt, Bess; cousin, Linda; and special nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Jerrie will miss her kindness and laughter. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Suzanne and Joyce for their loving care and support.
Calling hours will be held WEDNESDAY, August 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Services 11 a.m. THURSDAY, August 4th, at the funeral home. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Summit Developmental Disabilities Board, 89 E. Howe Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio 44278.
