Jerry E. Berry, 68, of Bath Township, Ohio, passed away on December 21, 2022. He was born September 16, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edgar Berry and Bessie Sue (Prince) Berry. Jerry was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother, Ronny Berry. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Nancy Berry; two step-children, Sarah (Jayme) Hudson and Matthew Gibbs; two biological children, Joann and Jenny; sister, Kathy (Tim) Nowlin; four beloved nieces, Katie (Brian) Dixon, Leah (Tyler) Smith, Joy (Dan) Gaddes, Holly (Nick) Ziegler; and grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Jerry was a retiree from the Ford Motor Co. in Brook Park where he worked for 33 years. He was a devoted member of the West Side Church of Christ, avid hunter, biker, and lover of music. He was a dedicated servant at his church and enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters in Christ. His favorite days were any that included after service potlucks where he could socialize and enjoy the delicious food—particularly the desserts. He volunteered frequently at the Northwestern Ohio Christian Youth Camp where he served on the board and helped maintain the camp. He also loved to hunt, and enjoyed showing off his trophy bucks, especially the ones listed on the Buckeye Big Buck Club website. Besides church and hunting, Jerry spent most of his time on his motorcycle with the wind in his hair and bugs in his teeth whenever he thought the weather was nice enough for a ride. His favorite place to ride was Wallace Lake in the Cleveland Metroparks, where he would swap stories with his Biker Buddies and share the Lord. Jerry and Nancy loved to travel, driving and riding around the country to see the National Parks and Route 66 while visiting friends and family.
