JOAN C. GALANTE
Joan, 69, left this world on Sept 15, 2015 at home.
The devoted wife (41 years) of Lt Col Richard L. Galante of Akron, she is also survived by her daughter, Nichole, of Medina, Ohio; sisters, Connie, Ginger and brothers, Lew and Larry Shreckengast of Millheim, PA and numerous nieces and nephews all in PA.
Joan worked at American Beverage Control and the Recycle Plant in Akron and later at Tenney Tools of Barberton before retiring. She loved flower gardening, receiving two citations from the Akron mayor. She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW.
At her request, there are no services. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may go to the Cooper Cancer Center in Akron. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
