Joan Chapman Glasbrenner, 73, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away October 23, 2011 surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Akron, she was currently residing in Medina. She retired from Sears and was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years and a lifetime member of St. John-St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Allegra Glasbrenner, she is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gerald; daughters, Carolyn and husband Gary Bell of Medina, Kathy Chapman and husband Dennis Lux of Firestone Park; grandchildren, Alicia and Nick Bell.
Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, with Pastor Neal Sadler officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
