Joann Winnefeld Kaltenthaler, of Fairlawn, Ohio, and formerly of Kewanna, Indiana, beloved wife of the late Albert M. Kaltenthaler, M.D., died Friday, January 6, 2012 surrounded by her children after a period of declining health at age 81.
Joann was born in Cleveland on April 21, 1930 to Frank and Evelyn Winnefeld. She was a graduate of Willoughby High School and the Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a dedicated health professional for many years.
She is survived by four children, Eva Kaltenthaler Stephen Spooner of Sheffield, England, Albert Jill Kaltenthaler of Dewitt, Mich., Lisa Kaltenthaler Robert Wimmel of Downers Grove, Ill., and Karl Kaltenthaler Florence Kot of Copley, Ohio, who lovingly attended her for the last four years; 13 grandchildren, Joanna, Katherine, Emma, Abigail, Kristen, Heidi, Albert Joseph, Erik, Benjamin, Charlotte, Sophia, Phillip and Joseph; sister, Joyce Burton Schwartz of Painesville Township, Ohio; four nieces and nephews and their families.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on SUNDAY, January 15 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. MONDAY, January 16 at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W.
