John Daniel Beck "Danny", 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home early Sunday morning, June 18, 2017.
Born in Akron, Danny was a life resident of the area. He was employed by The Shelly Company for 17 years as Quality Control Manager.
Preceded in death by his father, John Beck and his best friend, Dave; he is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Corey; step children, Rob (Kim) Dobson and Christin Dobson; grandchildren, Jason and Hailey; mother, Merl Beck; siblings, Debbie (John) Maloney and Greg (Judy) Beck; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and his Shelly family.
Danny cherished his family, was an avid reader, and was known by his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved animals and heavy metal music. His wife Sharon was so thrilled when he got through his AC/DC phase. He volunteered in the community and loved helping others. He was truly loved by those who knew him and will be missed by all.
Calling hours will be Saturday, June 24th from 2-4 p.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Private burial at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, 350 Opportunity Pkwy., Akron, OH 44307 or Habitat for Humanity of Summit County, 2301 Romig Rd., Akron, OH 44320 in Danny's name.
