John P. "Jack" Bracht, Sr.
John P. "Jack" Bracht, 98, passed away at home February 10, 2013 after a brief illness.
Born in Seneca Falls, NY November 22, 1914. He has been a resident of the Akron area since 1936. Jack retired from B.F. Goodrich Company after 43 years as a Tire Development Engineer and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Robert; brothers, Paul and Earl; survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Charlotte; sons, John (Nancy), Fred (Sheila); daughter, Alice E. (Pete) Drus; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Norman (Molly) Bracht.
Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron with Rev. John Schluep officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4635 Richmond Rd., Cleveland, OH 44128. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
