John S. Caruso John S. Caruso, 72, died October 3, 2011. Born in Akron, he was a U.S. Navy veteran with service on the U.S.S. Joseph P. Kennedy. A member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, John was a trap shooter, president of the Mud Run Gun Club, and loved to attend his grandchildren's sports events. He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 28 years of service. Preceded in death by his father, John Caruso and sister, Rosemary Priester, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy; daughters, Cheryl Caruso Bob Walker and Debbie Marty Baumgardner; grandchildren, Stephanie Michl, Alison and Jared Baumgardner; mother, Eva Caruso; brother, Frank Caruso; brother-in-law, Marvin Priester; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Bob Mantle and Nancy Larry Haban; many special nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. FRIDAY at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd., Green. Private inurnment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., THURSDAY from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 190 S.
