John Richard Jackson

John Richard Jackson, age 77, of Akron, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2022.

His passions in life were aviation and his church community. John was a proud man of faith. He was a very accomplished mechanical engineer, pilot, and business owner. John deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his cherished sons, John (Kelly Wahlstrom-Jackson), Scott (Allie), and Brad (Adrienne Stemen); beloved grandchildren, Owen and Finnegan Jackson, and Faren Stemen-Jackson; the mother of his children and dear friend, Shirley Jackson; beloved sisters, Barbara Weekley and Bonnie Schmelter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Jackson, and his brother, Mark Jackson.

Memorial service will take place on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Springfield Assembly of God, 1551 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312. Calling hours will follow from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church.
