John C. "Jack" Kuentz, 88, died early Monday morning, September 8, 2014 at Akron City Hospital (Summa) where he had been a patient for one week.
Born October 5, 1925 in Cleveland, Jack was an Eagle Scout, a US Navy veteran, and a graduate of Allegheny College in 1947. Following graduation he joined his father, John Sr., in the family printing business and enjoyed success as the president of the former Central Lithograph Company of Cleveland from 1975 until his retirement in 2000. In 1995 he was inducted into the Graphic Arts Council of Cleveland Hall of Distinction.
He was a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ.
Jack is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Stephanie F. Kuentz, who died in 2009. Devoted father of Duane (Lenore), Bruce, and Scott, he was also the loving grandfather of Eric John, Brian (Melissa), and Allyson Kuentz.
Services will be held 11 a.m. FRIDAY, September 12, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg. Calling hours will be THURSDAY, September 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on FRIDAY.
