John C. Vlahos, 85, died October 1, 2008.
He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts and lived most of his life in Gary, Indiana.
Preceded in death by his parents, Constantine and Georgia Vlahos; brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Demetra Vlahos and brother-in-law, Harry Lambropoulos; he is survived by his best friend and caregiver, sister, Mrs. Helen Lambropoulos; niece and nephew, Georgia and John Stathopoulos; great niece and great nephew, Tia and Jason Butterworth and Theodore Stathopoulos.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of The Merriman for their love and care of John.
Funeral services were held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Burial took place at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
