John George Wagner
John George Wagner died peacefully with his wife, Margaret, by his side on January 30, 2009.
A child of the depression, a graduate of the streets of Philadelphia, Olney High and Temple University, John was 19 when he served on the USS Aegir in World War II.
He returned to earn Margaret's love; something he continued to do every day of their 61 years of marriage.
John was a man's man. He lived life on his own terms; never imposing on anyone or letting anyone impose on him. While proud of his distinguished role as an executive in the Abrasives Industry, he rejected pompous corporate culture or any institution that put form before function. John was truly a free man.
Time with John was always memorable. Good eating, good music, usually with him at the piano; good living and good friends always surrounded him. His love for family was unconditional and unending. God has released his great spirit from a body that could no longer support it.
Preceded in death by brother, Dr. Frederick Wagner, he is survived by wife, Margaret; sons, Mark A. Dee and Bruce Kathi; daughter, Gwen Gene Perrotto; grandchildren, Ginger Lee Adam Childs, Holly Christine Wagner, Grant William Wagner and their mother, Linda; Matthew Sinclair Wagner and Brad Sinclair Amber Wagner and their mother, Lynn; Emily Harris and her father, Ken; Keith Perrotto; Nicole Flynn and Melissa John Giusto; great-grand-children, Kayla Childs and Jillian Giusto; and many nieces and nephews.
