John Robert Wilson, 84, of Akron passed away Sept. 22, 2014.
He was born April 15, 1930 in Doraville, Georgia to the late John and Sarah Wilson. John was a chemist at Goodyear Research. He enjoyed tennis and golfing and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
John is survived son, David (Lynne); and grandchildren, Riley and Andrew.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 M. Miller Rd., with The Rev. Conley A. Zomermaand officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association (parkinson.org) or to the Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS).
