John C "Jack" Zimmer

May 21, 1933 — April 19, 2015

John C. "Jack" Zimmer, Jr., 81, died April 19, 2015.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he lived overseas for 12 years in Paris, France, Milan, Italy and Stockholm, Sweden. He was a 1955 graduate of M.I.T. where he was a member of Beta Theta Phi and retired as a chemical engineer from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Jack was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister and Lecturer, and was an avid reader, gardener and amateur archaeologist/geologist.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Tressa; brothers, Peter (Barbara) and David; he is survived by loving wife of 55 years, Mary Susan; daughters, Mary Colleen (Eric) Noble, Krystyn (Nigel) Bourne and Catherine (Thomas) Johnson; grandchildren, Patrick Noble, Caitlin (fiancé, Braden Katz) Noble, Kelley Doll, Teagan Bourne and Emily and Thomas Johnson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., with Fr. Steven Brunovsky officiating. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O.
