Joseph Paul Barren Jr. 83 of Richfield Twp. passed away on August 18, 2021.
Joe was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 10, 1937 to the late Joseph Paul and Mary Barren Sr. He served in the US Army as a proud member of the 101st Airborne stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky where after his honorable discharge he married Loretta. He was employed by E F Hauserman as a tool and die maker while he raised 3 sons. He was very supportive of their schooling and never missed a chance to support them at a sporting event. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his family including summer vacations at the South Carolina beaches, watching the Buckeyes, and bowling and golfing with family and coworkers. We will all miss his quick wit, his smile, hearty laugh and good stories of his adventures.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Martin and brother-in-law Gary Martin.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Loretta Barren; sons Joseph Paul (Beverly) Barren IV, Christopher (Joan) Barren and Jamison (Nicole) Barren; grandchildren Joseph Paul (Christine) Barren V, Jamee (Jeremy) Porchowsky, Jacob (Makennah) Barren, Luke Barren and Drew Barren; great grandchildren Ava, Gianna, Lucca, Gemma, Quinn and Audrey; brothers Robert (Doreen) Barren and Richard (Marilynn) Barren.
