Joseph Rusnak
, 96, passed away April 2, 2024, in Akron, Ohio. He was born in Campbell, Ohio, on March 20, 1928, to the late George and Mary Rusnak.
He and his wife Dorothy owned and operated Portage Path Cleaners from 1973 to 1990. She passed away January 25, 2015, approaching their 65th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Gail Eglet (William, deceased), Rose (John) Bates, and Kathy (Richard) Miller; 5 grandchildren, Bill (Amy) Eglet, Carolyn (Matthew) Goettke, Jim Eglet, John Bates (Carissa Chiu, loving partner), and Kasey (Codey) Semrau; 3 great-grandchildren, Joseph Goettke, Madeline Goettke, and William Eglet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Rusnak, and sisters Ann Sanders and Nadine Pallai. He is leaving behind a sister, Mary Jane Puskas, and a brother, Walter Rusnak. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and very dear friends in Ohio and Florida.
Joseph had a long, healthy, and happy life. He and his wife both loved being surrounded by family, and enjoyed wintering in Florida for 27 years.
When in Ohio during the summer, they vacationed at 2 locations with immediate family. Many fun times and memories were made.
A gathering of family will take place at a later date.
Should friends or family desire, memorials may be made to a Hospice of their choice.
