Josephine E. Long

Josephine E. Long, 89, of Akron, OH is now reunited with her loving husband, Duane Long. She passed away December 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sagamore, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mildred Kobak. Josephine was a faithful member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Church of Akron, OH. She was a devoted wife, mother of nine, Grandmother and Great-grandmother who was loved tremendously. She loved spending time with her family and taking many rides with her sons through Cuyahoga Valley National Parks.
Josephine is survived by her children, Rhonda (Tom), Cheri (Jack), Brian, Derek (Caroline), Charlene (Jim), Joel (Janine), Kathy (Phil), Shawn (Sandy), and her devoted and loving son, Jaime; Grandchildren, Heather, Amelia (Bradley), Audrey (Tim), Brandy (Chad), Taylor, Kyle, Rachael, Dylan, and Jacob; Great-grandchildren, Ashlea, Keirra, Max, and Hugo; sisters, Mamie and Kay, and numerous loving family and friends.
Calling Hours Wednesday, December 28 from 4-7 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron 44333. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday, December 29 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 164 W Market St. Akron, 44303. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
