Joyce M. Feucht

Joyce M. Feucht (Myers), 84, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, August 12, 2016. Born in Akron on Oct. 1, 1931 and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, she married Bob, her high school sweetheart, in 1951.

Before becoming a homemaker, Joyce worked as a secretary and in Goodyear advertising. She greatly enjoyed the opportunity to visit many countries abroad while accompanying Bob on business trips.

Joyce loved to paint and was a self-taught professional artist. Her paintings were displayed at local hospitals and at many juried art shows. She was an active member of Stan Hywet Needlework Guild and became expert in all types of needlework. Her original designs won many ribbons, including "Best of Show."

Joyce crocheted baby blankets and hundreds of children's hats for charity and donated her time to Stan Hywet. She used her skills to make crafts and Christmas decorations for Redeemer, St John's, Grace and Hope Lutheran churches. When asked about her artistic skills she would respond: "I'm just using my God given talents."

She was a loving and caring mother who was an inspiration to her children. She encouraged them to use their imaginations and instilled in them her love for pets.

Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen and Bob Myers; and is survived by Robert, her husband of 64 years; sons, Chris (Barb), Ken (Gail), and daughter, Jane (Doug) Weaver; grandchildren, Erin, Erik (Kim), Brad and Casey.

Friends and family may call Friday, August 19th from 4-7 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Services will be held Saturday, August 20th, 10:00 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 5th St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, 350 Opportunity Pkwy, Akron, OH 44307.
