Joyce Ann Lampner

Joyce Ann Lampner passed unexpectedly of heart failure on Monday June 12th. She was born in Baltimore on November 20th, 1941 to Norman and Charlotte Brannan. Joyce was a passionate gardener and loved reading mystery and detective novels. She loved cooking for her family and spent time watching PBS cooking shows to learn new recipes. She also looked forward to attending plays at Weathervane Playhouse as a season ticket holder.

Joyce met Nathan Lampner when they both worked at Gimbels department store in New York. Joyce and Nathan were married on December 14th, 1963. She was very proud of her four boys and seven grandchildren.

She was active in the PTA and worked at Akron Public Schools as a special needs transportation coordinator.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Nathan; sons, Michael (Wendy), Stephen, David (Yuhong), and Raymond (Blair); grandchildren, Isaac (Corinne), Mackenzie, Aaron, Andrew, Gabrielle, AJ, and Samantha.

The family will have a private ceremony.
