Juanita Fay Geeting Shelhart, 92, died November 3, 2008.
Born in Eaton, Ohio, on April 2, 1916, Juanita was one of five children. She had two older sisters, Opal and Treva; a brother, Lloyd; and her twin sister, Freda. A member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Fairlawn Country Club, she enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends. Juanita also spent many happy years of her later life with her dear friend, Al Scott.
The widow of Donald Phillip Shelhart, she is survived by niece, June Maggart and grandniece, Nancy Yost. She died peacefully surrounded by her remaining family: Christine Shelhart-Herberich, Stephanie Shelhart Doughty, Don Shelhart and Jonathon Shelhart. Also her niece, Sondra Wegner and her children, Keith Wegner, Scott Baker, Jille Shelhart, Jody Herndon and John Wegner.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Mark J. Pruitt officiating. Private inurnment at Loyal Oak Cemetery. There are no calling hours. No flowers please. Memorials may be made to the VNS Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
