Judith Ann Hess Judith Ann Hess, 68, died October 9, 2011. Born in New Braunfels, Texas, she lived in the Akron area most of her life. Judy previously served as vice president of the A.E.A. and had retired with 30 years service in 1995 as a teacher from the Akron Public Schools. Preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Fern Hess, she survived by her sister, Karen Douglas McCaslin; brother, James W. Donna Hess; nieces, nephews and faithful companions, Sassy and Rowdy.
