Judith Papp Ridgley died peacefully in her sleep June 14th, 2012 after bravely recovering from two strokes four years earlier.
Born March 7, 1929, she was a twenty plus year breast cancer survivor. An English teacher in the Medina City school system until her retirement in 1992, she volunteered as a reader to the blind, and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was also involved with the Arts and Literature group of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wadsworth and taught all of her children the importance of reading and an education. She continued travelling and visiting her children until the end, and spent time every week doing puzzles with friend since kindergarten Barbara Breeden.
Preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Charlie Papp and dear second husband, Tom Ridgley; she is survived by her daughters, Susan Papp Wallis, Sharon Papp Brauckmann and Jennifer Papp Newlin, younger brother, David Thomasson; grandchildren, Jessica Smith Evans, Erica Wallis, James Wallis, Jackie Brauckmann Kline, Katy Brauckmann Bauman, Megan Brauckmann, Michael Brauckmann; and two great grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Monday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
