Julia Kraus Phelps, 98, died October 9, 2014.

Born in Copley Township May 28, 1916 to John and Julia Luckas Juhas, she married George Kraus in 1936. Julia and George were partners in Kraus Florist and Greenhouse business for many years where she worked as a talented floral designer as well as in the greenhouses. George passed away in 1973 and Julia married Forrest Glenn Phelps, a retired policeman, in June 1974. Glenn passed away in 2006. Church was always a very important part of her life. She was a member of the Madison Avenue EUB Church for many years and later attended Woodland U.M.C. in Akron and Sylvan Abbey U.M.C. in Clearwater, FL.

In addition to her husbands, Julia was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Brutoski. She is survived by her son, Ronald G. (Barbara) Kraus; two grandsons, Rob (Synde) and John (Laurie) Kraus; three great-grandsons; and sister, Irene Mann.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Dr. David A. Baker officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home SATURDAY from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to Woodland United Methodist Church, 444 N. Hawkins Ave., Akron 44313. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
