Julia K. Richards, 90, died Dec. 19, 2008.
A life resident of Akron, she was a member of Billow Chapter #483 where she was a past matron, Akron Woman's City Club, Social Order of the Beauceant #26, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, AARP Georgetown Chapter #2248 and the Fairlawn Friendly Folks.
Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Ted"; survived by sons, Phillip O. Rose M.D. of Indian Wells, Calif., Dennis A. Karen of Copley, Ohio and Malcolm C. Peggy of Sylvania, Ohio; grandchildren, Susie Jon Nash of Berkey, Ohio, Christie Cory McKenzie of Toledo, Ohio, John Tara Richards of San Diego, Calif., Julia L. Richards of El Cajon, Calif., and Kyra Richards of Charleston, W.Va; great-grandchildren, from ages 13 to 1, Eric, Mark, Meghan, Savannah, Grace and Monica; brother, Carl Ardella Kapusinski of Hudson, Ohio; sisters, Marilyn Kapusinski of Naples, Fla., Eleanor Eleo of Hudson, Ohio and Beverly Joe Rini of Aurora, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 in the Chapel of St. Paul's Episcopal Church corner of W. Market St. and Kenilworth Dr. followed by a celebration of life at the Hilton-Fairlawn. Private inurnment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stars and Stripes Quilts for Wounded Soldiers, c/o Copley United Methodist Church, 1518 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Copley, OH 44321.
