Juliann Marie Levy (Richards)

June 29, 1984 — August 14, 2024

Juliann Marie Levy (Richards) of Akron passed away on August 14, 2024.

Juliann was born in Akron, Ohio to James and Constance Richards.

She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and achieved a BA and an MA from the University of Akron.  Juliann held significant roles in Training/Development and Management, which allowed her to channel her passion for people into a career.

Those who knew Juliann will remember her bright smile, infectious laugh, and the way she lit up a room when she walked into it. Juliann had a passion for animals, was an advocate for human rights, and believed that everyone should come as they are. Often, when others could not use their voice – animals and humans alike – Juliann lent hers to the cause. She loved deep conversations, showing up for those who needed her most, and took pleasure in the everyday joys that life brought.

Her greatest loves, however, came in the form of her family. Juliann’s love for her children, Emma and Ethan, was unrivaled. Her time with Emma and Ethan was consumed with snuggles, words of wisdom, belly laughs, and comforting hugs. When talking about her children, Juliann beamed with love and pride, reflecting the sheer fact that they were the center of her world.

Her love for her husband, Neal of 12 years was deep and built on a foundation of unwavering friendship. Juliann treasured time with family. From regular Friday night dinners, to vacations, she made it a point to carve space for memory making, laughter and a chance to strengthen the bonds with those she loved.

In addition to her children, Emma and Ethan, and husband, Neal, Juliann is survived by her beloved and adored parents, James and Constance Richards, mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Robin Levy, sister Carrie Mundy (Andrew), brother-in-law Michael Levy, nephews Bradley and Conner Mundy, special aunties Debbie Beal and Diana Nelson, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Juliann is preceded in death by her grandparents, Curtis and Rita West and David and Harriett Richards, her aunt, Linda Rager, her cousin, Jeremy West, and Carol Beitenman (her beloved Nanny).

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
