Julius Garman, 100, of Akron passed away on March 23, 2022. Julius was born in Akron, Ohio on January 20, 1922 to the late Harry and Feiga Garman.
He served in the US Navy during WWII, retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. after 45 years of service and was a member of the Akron Jewish War Veterans Post #62. Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Clara and son Harry. He is survived by his sons Paul (Cindy) and Ronald (Carol); daughter in law Lori; grandchildren Jacob (Olivia), Melanie (Donald) Orpen, Sarah (Aaron) Roth, Katie (Nick) White, Chris (Becca) and Kelsey Garman; great grandchildren Connor, Peyton, Parker, Aidan and Brayden.
Graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life of Medina, American Cancer Society, Attn. RFL Medina SK#YLXXUH 10501 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44106 or Homestead Hope Hospice Foundation, 10888 Crabapple Rd. Roswell, GA 30075.
