Julius Schmeltzer, 85, died Nov. 12, 2013.
Born in Hungary, he came to the U.S. as a baby in 1929. He was President of Schmeltzer Excavating and Ohio Helicopter Service. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Fairlawn Lutheran Church, Hungarian American Club, Star Lodge, Tadmor Shrine and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Preceded in death by wife, Constance; he is survived by children, Ernest (Niki) Schmeltzer, Kathy Teague and Steve Schmeltzer; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and brother, Earnest (Jan) Schmeltzer.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Charles Lentner officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
