June McIntire nee Rose passed away Monday, December 13, 2010.
She was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on December 1, 1922 and at the age of 4, came to Akron with her mother, father and sister, where she lived the rest of her life. June was a member of Fairlawn Lutheran Church. She retired from Ohio Edison in 1988. She loved being with her family, and she was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lola Rose and her sister, Talmadge Staples, she is survived by her daughters, Patricia McIntire Rick Mills and Shem Mike DellAngelo; her son, Gary McIntire; granddaughters, Beth and Christina DellAngelo; and her nieces, Valerie Staples and Ellen Staples, who live in California.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who took care of June over the past 3-1/2 years.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina. Friends may call at the funeral home ½ hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association . Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel
