Karel Rae Young

Karel Rae Young (nee Chofi�n), 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday December 14, 2016.
Karel was a retired registered nurse of almost 50 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and boating.
Preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis and Ernest Chofi�n, and her sister, Kelly Lowder; Karel is survived by her husband, Jerome C. Young II, and her children, Kesia (James) Newbrough and Kitra (Keith) Woodall. Also surviving her are her loving grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Bednar, Tyler Newbrough, and Annabelle Woodall, along with her four sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Per Karel's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Karel's life will be held FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, OH 44333, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a memorial service to follow. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Summa Health Hospice for their loving care and compassion. If desired, a donation in lieu of i�owers may be made to Summa Health Hospice.
