Katherine " Kitty" Mousetes
November 11, 1942 — May 8, 2015
Katherine "Kitty" Mousetes passed away peacefully May 8, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Syracuse, NY, she was a lifelong Akron resident and graduate of Central High School. A member of St. Vincent Parish, she retired from a career in office administration with more than 20 years of service from Uniroyal Chemical. Kitty was an avid traveler and had many fond memories of journeying to beaches, cruises and destinations abroad. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Kitty was happiest when spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, George S. Mousetes and brother, Leo Mauthe; she is survived by her daughters, Julianne (Michael) Bedel, Jeanine Mousetes and Paula-Katherine (Jason) Catlett; grandchildren, Hannah, Gabriel and Jace; many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 7 p.m. THURSDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Fr. Timothy O'Connor officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
