Katherine Schmid

Katherine Schmid age 79 of Bath, Ohio passed away on January 27, 2022 after a long illness.

Kathy grew up in Bay Village Ohio and then received a degree from Heidelberg University. She enjoyed life and was particularly fond of animals, riding her horses, and being a part of the West Country Beagles. Her other loves were fishing at her family’s cottage in Canada and skiing at her house in Big Sky, Montana. Most of all she enjoyed having get-togethers and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Arthur Stark, brother-in-law, Bob Shell. She is survived by her loving Swiss husband, Juerg Schmid, sister Judith Shell, children Travis (Deanna) Schmid, Tate (Mora) Schmid, grandchildren Holden, Wyatt, Mallory, and Sierra, several nieces/nephews, cousins, and family members from Switzerland.

There will be a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelters.
