Kathleen Marie Blackfan, 39, died February 21, 2009.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a longtime Akron resident. A homemaker, she was president of the Sand Run Point Home Owners Association and had formerly worked at Fairlawn Country Club.
Preceded in death by her father, Donald Kelly, she is survived by her husband, John; son, Matthew; mother, Dorothy Kelly; brothers, Brad Jennifer Kelly and Geoffrey Kate Kelly; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cy and Barbara Blackfan; brother-in-law, David Nancy Blackfan; sister-in-law, Babs Thomas Uhl; nieces and nephews, William, Grace, Claire, Samantha, Jack, Aaron, Logan and Carson.
A memorial service will be held 7 P.M. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Gift Management Services, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244 and in Kathleen's honor, reach out and help a person in need.
