Kathryn Elizabeth Cooper passed away on Tuesday, August 4 2015 at her residence.
She was 35 years old.
Kathryn, a life-long resident of Akron, graduated from Revere High School. She received a degree from Cleveland State University in Urban Studies. Kathryn, was the beloved daughter of Robert and Regina Moore Cooper and devoted sister of Tyler Cooper. She was the granddaughter of Dr. Milton N. Cooper and late Jean B. Cooper and was predeceased by her Aunt, Carolyn Cooper Lockshin, and her grandparents Aubrey and Kathryn Moore. She loved being with family and cherished her Dad's Sunday dinners with the people she adored, often including her friends in the Cooper family gatherings. In recent years, she was Milton Cooper's constant companion, whom she considered one of her dearest friends. Her "papa" basked in her attention and concern for him.
Kathryn leaves behind scores of family and friends on whom she doted. She was known as a devoted and loving friend, doing everything she could to help the people and animals for whom she cared so deeply.
Her dogs, Spike, Maggie, Bear and Lucy were the light of her life. She took great joy in their antics, and was never too busy to help find homes for lost animals. Kathryn considered her parents her best friends in the world, and loved being with them. Her kindness, that ready smile, and the sweetness that was Kathryn will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Life will never be the same without her,
The memory of her pure and loving spirit will be forever a blessing in the hearts of all who loved her. Arrangements have been made by the Billow Fairlawn Chapel. A celebration of Kathryn's life will be held at Portage Country Club from 11:30 - 2 on Saturday, August 8, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Health Center, a local agency that helps with addiction or the Humane Society of Greater Akron. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
