Kathryn Morrison

April 1, 1918 — February 18, 2014

Kathryn M. Morrison, 95, of Norton, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday. February 18, 2014.
Born April 1, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Bert and Julia Frazier; she was later raised in Kenmore. Kathryn retired from Akron General Hospital where she worked for over 30 years, and remained later as a volunteer. She enjoyed traveling with her family, cooking, and celebrating her many birthdays.
Kathryn will be missed by her children and their spouses: Carol and Dan Pavelchak of Prescott, AZ, Kay Reiss of Norton, Jim and Joanne Morrison of Norton, and Sharon and Rick Jarrell of Hamilton, VA; 10 grandchildren: Laura Thompson, James Morrison, Joe Morrison, Arthur J. Reiss, Timothy Morrison, Michael Morrison, Lisa Plummer, Angela Meinen, Rick D. Jarrell, and Michael Jarrell and 23 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her niece Laurie Nikolaczyk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lois Sellars, daughter-in-law Veronica Morrison, and son-in-law Arthur E. Reiss.
The family would like to thank Kathryn's care-giver and friend Karen Thompson, and extend our appreciation to the caregivers of Concordia at Sumner in Copley.
A private Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Mark Sherwindt of Zion Lutheran Church, was held. Burial has taken at place Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
