Kathleen M. Gottus (nee Coughlin), 63, passed away suddenly on February 23, 2016.
Kathy was born in Cleveland on May 5, 1952. She grew up in Stow and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1970. She moved to Pittsburgh where she became a licensed practical nurse. She then moved to Texas where she became a registered nurse, graduating from Lee College in Baytown, Texas. She eventually settled in Bedford, Texas, where she was living at the time of her death. She worked at Sunrise of Forth Worth where she was the Resident Care Director.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Joan Coughlin; sister, Judy; brothers, Michael, Edward and Paul; and brother-in-law, Jerome Crawford; Kathy is survived by her beloved life partner of 16 years, Kathy Doty; loving sons, Christopher (Wendy) and Timothy (Missy); grandchildren, Ethan, Elijah, Nadia and Colin; sister, Cindy Crawford; brothers, John (Candy) and Kenneth; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Sue Rodgers officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m.
