Kenneth A. Broggini, 82, passed away Feb. 16, 2011 after a short illness.
He was born on June 15, 1928 in Lakewood, Ohio and moved to Copley in 1941. He graduated from Copley High School in 1946 and the University of Akron in 1963 with a Masters degree in Accounting. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber after 38 years of service. Kenneth was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio Light Opera. He also enjoyed gardening and playing with his cat, Sparky. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his children and grandchildren. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he had for his wife.
He is survived by the love of his life, Grace Pidwell Broggini. They have been married for 57 years. Ken is also survived by his children, Grace Haas Jerry, Lloyd, and Roger Broggini Lynette. His loving grandchildren include Bradley Haas Laura, Andrea Haas, Andrew and Kayla Broggini. Other relatives and friends include sister-in-law, Mary Lang Broggini; brother- in-law, Jack Pidwell Kay, sister-in-law, Mildred Pidwell; the Kluth family and family friend, Martha Hoffman.
Services will be held 12 noon Saturday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Meghan F. Froehlich officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.
