Kenneth E Dorsey

Kenneth E. Dorsey Sr., 83, passed away at Akron General Medical Center on June 7, 2016.

Ken was born in Seymour, Indiana to Earl and Thelma Dorsey in August 8, 1932. A graduate of Earlham College in Indiana, Ken worked as an accountant at B.F. Goodrich Tire Division and was the Chairman of the Board of the B.F. Goodrich Credit Union. Ken was a very active member in his church and community. He was an Elder and Treasurer of Ghent Christian Church, a past master of Meridian Sun Lodge Number 69, in Richfield, a member of the Bath Good Times Club and the Fairlawn Senior Group. Ken loved traveling, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tamara Hale; he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; son, Kenneth (Cynthia) Dorsey Jr.; son-in-law, Dan Hale; and grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Rebecca, and Edward, all of Ashland.

Ken's Family would like to thank Rev. Jae Rhee and the nurses of Akron General on 8100 and ICU for their care and support; and to their friends for their prayers.

Services will be held 10 am MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N Miller Rd., with Rev. Jae Rhee officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
