Laurence "Larry" Brandenstein

Laurence “Larry” Brandenstein , 88, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on July 13, 2024. He was born on June 1, 1936, to Robert and Katherine Brandenstein of Akron. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy for four years, returning to Akron to begin a career at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He retired in 1997 after 40 years of service. Larry was a devoted husband and father, married to his wife Rose for 63 years.

In addition to Rose, he is survived by his children Dianne (Joe) DeAngelis, Doug (Maria) Brandenstein, and Darren Brandenstein; grandchildren Kate, Cara, Nick (Alyssa), Josh, Zach, and Nate; and great-grandson Milo.

He is preceded in death by his brother Ted and sister Rita Cruse.

Larry was an avid boater and served as a past commodore of the Goodyear Boating and Yachting Association. He and his family enjoyed spending many summer vacations at Dale Hollow Lake, Tennessee with a large group of close friends.

Memorial service will be at 11 AM on Saturday July 20, 2024 at the Billow Funeral Home FALLS Chapel 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223. Family and friends may visit from 5-7 PM on Friday July 19, 2024 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
