LaVerne Spangler Zarle (Frase)

Sharon Twp.- LaVerne passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on April 27, 2015. She was born in the farmhouse of Fraseville Farm on Sept. 11, 1915.

LaVerne was preceded in death by beloved husband, Leonard E.; parents, Gertie (Spangler) and Israel Melvin Frase; brother, Virgil (Ruth); sisters, Bernice Lehman (Henry) and Vera Smith (Rollin); infant grandson, and son-in-law, Kurt Roger Stuecher. Left to mourn her loss are children, Larry P. Zarle, Linda C. Stuecher and Loretta A. Patterson; grandchildren, Kurt R. Stuecher (Debbie), Kelly M. Stuecher Bobbitt (DeWayne), Amy Lyn Patterson Dragga (William); great grandsons, Kurt Robert Stuecher and Michael Stuecher; great granddaughter, Nickole Bobbitt; and great great grandchildren, John and Raven Stuecher.

LaVerne graduated from Sharon High School Class of 1932 having been a member of the debate team and a member of the Medina County Band. She met and married Lenny while working for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. She left Ohio Bell to raise her family and enjoyed her faith by being a member of Mt. Zwingli Church until joining Emanuel E.U.B. Church of Akron. She later transferred her membership to Woodland United Methodist Church. Her membership in the Old Maids Club for more than 75 years gave her friendships that endure to this day. LaVerne loved the Lord and her family and friends with the Lord guiding her throughout her life. If you knew her, you loved her.

Services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday at Woodland United Methodist Church with Rev. Debbie Gibbons officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. TODAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., and 1 hour before the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland United Methodist Church, 444 N. Hawkins Ave., Akron, OH 44313. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
