Born in Akron, he had resided in Northport , Florida for several years. A memeber of Grace Bible Church, he was a 32nd degree mason belonging to Barberton Lodge # 750 F&AM. He retired from American National Can Company.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie in 1995; he is survived by his son, Gary Lynn VonGunten; granddaughters, Christine Rhodes and Allison VonGunten; brother, Victor VonGunten; and many close friends.
Services will be held 11am. FRIDAY at the Billow Lakes Chapel, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-7 p.m. THURSDAY where Barberton Lodge will conduct services at 7pm. Special thanks to Chapel Hill Community and Barberton Hospice for their care ansd compassion during Leo's final days.
