Leroy D. Adams, 74, the man who knew no strangers, passed away August 13, 2008.
He was born in Maryville, Tennessee on May 12, 1934. He came to Ohio in 1953 and worked for General Motors in Cleveland for 28 years, retiring in 1980 after a heart attack.
He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie, of 56 years; daughters and their spouses, Margaret John Davis, Deborah Henry Sforza, Susan Ronald Mild, Cathy Antonio Silvestri; grandchildren, Benjamin Annie Eader, Rachel Bob Nye, Nella Silvestri, Kelly Mark DeBaer, James Sforza and Mary Sforza; numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.
The family would like to thank David Williams and his children, Kimmi, Luke, and Maddie for all of their love and care. The family would also like to thank Deanna, Vickie, Joseph and Hospice of Summa.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd, Akron with Rev. Glenn Jackson officiating. Final resting place will be Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. TODAY at the funeral home. If you wish, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 North Main St., Akron 44309.
