Our lovely Lesley lost her year long battle with Melanoma on July 16th at age 47.
She was a devoted mother to her three teenage sons, Sam, Roman and Mack. She leaves behind her loving partner and extraordinary caretaker, Michael Pollack
Lesley graduated from Northern Collegiate High School in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and then from Kent State University in 1991.
She is survived by her parents, Lyn and Bill Rion; sisters, Nicole Goolsby of Charlotte, NC and Heather Highet (Andrew) of Kingston, ON; and nieces and nephews.
Besides her large extended family, Lesley leaves to mourn many friends from Sarnia, ON, Signal Mountain, TN, and Akron, OH.
We will miss her loving smile, her magical laugh, her sense of humor and her joyful singing. Lesley brightened our lives and left us memories that will live forever in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron on Friday, July 19th 4-7 p.m. and 1 hour before the Service of Remembrance on Saturday, July 20th at 11 a.m.
Thanks to the Neurological Team at Akron General, Drs. Vorster and Marquinez and especially the Hospice Care Visiting Nurses.
