Lester Shaffer

July 19, 1923 — October 21, 2013

Lester Shaffer, Jr., 90, passed away October 21, 2013.

Born in Dover, OH he lived in Ohio most of his life. Mr. Shaffer was a retired Teamster, a carpenter by trade, an avid horseman, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, D. Louise (Hodgkinson); children, Dianne (Jay) Giltz-Walker, Brian (Nancy), Darrell, David, Denise (Mark) Weese, Debra (James) Ward, Eric (Ann), Chris (Danise), Pam (Evert) Flatt; 45 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Shaffer; and uncle, Robert Hoopingarner.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. FRIDAY at the funeral home.(Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
