Linda Ann Baldwin

Linda Ann “Sweetie” Baldwin entered eternal rest on July 8, 2022. Born December 14, 1948, she has been a long time Akron vicinity resident. She attended Buchtel High School, graduating with honors in 1966. Her athletic prowess earned her the “I want you on MY team” distinction among her peers. She went on to attend Wittenberg University and The George Washington University, finally graduating from University of Akron, with a Cum Laude degree. In her tenure as a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation counselor, she helped many others to face and overcome their addictions.

Our beloved Sweetie lived her life dedicated to being true to the command of Jesus to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Luke 10:27. She was a kind, giving soul, continually finding ways to help her fellow neighbors with homemade casseroles, encouraging notes and words, and unique little expressions of love.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, July 15 at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron, Pastor Michael Baldwin presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
