Lisa A. Wagner passed away on August 20th. She was born on September 17, 1959, in Barberton, the first child of Tom and Gail (Gordon) Weigand, both of whom precede her in death. She is survived by her siblings: Tom Weigand, Bridget (Todd) Baxter and Amy (Shannan) Ritchie, nieces and nephews: Haley Weigand, Tessa (Clay) Ellenwood, Ritchies – Sam, Olivia, Grace, Celia, Emmet, Neal and Brady. She leaves behind countless friends and her beloved dog, Piper.
Lisa attended St. Augustine School and graduated from Norton High School in 1977. She graduated from the Idabelle Firestone School of Nursing in 1980 and practiced nursing until her death. Lisa was a registered nurse at Barberton Hospital from 1981-2017 and finished her career at the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center. She was a dedicated, caring and compassionate nurse and was recognized for her excellence as the recipient of the Cameos of Caring Award while at Barberton Hospital.
Lisa enjoyed celebrating the successes and milestones of her nieces and nephews, often cheering and watching from the sidelines at games, races, plays, concerts, graduations and everything in between. She was especially looking forward to becoming a great aunt and loving and spoiling the next generation.
Lisa was a dear friend to many. She was a light in any the room and the life and soul of a party. She enjoyed life and sharing it with those close to her. Lisa will be greatly missed by her colleagues and friends, but most especially by her family. She was the one that brought our family together, kept our bonds tight and cared for us along the way. She was much too young, and it was much too soon.
