Lita R. Shaver

Lita R. Shaver, 74, made her transition on August 15, 2009.
Born in Chicago, she lived most of her life in Akron. She was a graduate of the University of Akron and attended Unity Chapel of Light in Tallmadge. Lita retired from the Akron Public Schools having taught at Goodyear and Hyre Junior High Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Todd; sisters, Cynthia Bob Brotherton and Karen Burkey; and nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to all the staff at the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service for their care and compassion during this life transition.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22nd at Unity Chapel of Light, with Chaplain Dan Terrell officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Chapel of Light, 503 Northwest Ave., Tallmadge 44278 or Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
