Loman Brown

November 13, 1943 — June 12, 2016

It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we tell you that Loman Dale Brown passed away suddenly, but peacefully on Sunday morning, June 12th, 2016. Loman was at his piece of heaven, his home in Carrollton, Ohio when he departed to go home to be with our Lord.
Loman was born on Friday the 13th, November 1943 in Calloway County, Kentucky. He loved to tell us that every Friday the 13th, was his lucky day. He graduated from Murray State College, in Murray, Kentucky, June of 1964 with a degree in Science. He was also a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity which he stayed active in until the end. He was also enlisted in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in September of 1970. He started his work career at Meade Johnson, moving on to J.M. Smuckers Company, until starting his own business, Loman Brown Inc.
Loman is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine Kohtz; brother, Charles (Shirley); sons, Lyle (Maura) of Rocky Point, NC, Logan (Danielle) of Bath, OH and Blake (Randee) of Asheville, NC; and grandchildren, Sydney, Landen, Noah, Wesley and Alice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and William "Harry" Brown.
Loman was loved by all who met him. People admired his work ethic and enjoyed his subtle humor. He will be remembered not only for his quick wit, but also his limitless knowledge and lively personality. He had an undying passion for his work, his country, and his family. He was a beloved husband, a devoted father, and an enthusiastic grandfather.
He will be buried surrounded by his close friends and family at his Carroltucky home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. SATURDAY June 18th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Ray Notarian officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on FRIDAY, June 17th from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
