Loretta F. Goodson Boyd, 85, died September 12, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Stanley N. Boyd and Will Goodson. Loretta was the dearly beloved mother to son, Stanley A. Brigitte Boyd and daughters, Barbara A. Algis Kernagis, Linda D. Derringer and Norma J. John Boyd. She will also be remembered by Stanley's children, Holly, Ryan and Stephen; Barbara's children, Cathy, Brian and Jonas; Linda's children, Jeffrey, Chad and Todd; and Norma's children, Ivan and Larisa, as well as her great- grandchildren.
Loretta was an inspiring spirit whose zest for life, loving presence and generosity was admired by all who knew her.
The family wishes to express its thanks to the caring staff at Summa's Western Reserve Hospital.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Chaplain Joseph Lee officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, P.O. Box 2090, Akron 44398.
