Louis J. Ciraldo, 91, died Nov. 6, 2018.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of North High School and the University of Akron. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, Lou started working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 1950 as an electrical engineer starting on the Squad and retiring in 1987 as manager of Corporate Projects and Construction Engineering.
Preceded in death by brothers, Bob and Al (Ruth); he is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor; sons, Louis (Connie), Al (Debbie, deceased), and Mark (Diti); 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Ciraldo; and nieces and nephews.
Louis lived his life with 3 principles, God, family, and work.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St., Cuyahoga Falls 44221 followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Dr. Anthony Retikas Scholarship Fund, or The Louis J. Ciraldo, Sr. Endowed Scholarship in Electrical Engineering at the University of Akron. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
